Depeche Mode Tribute ‘Speak & Spell’ to play Glastonbury 2017.
UK tribute band Speak and Spell have been chosen to play at this year”s Glastonbury Festival 2017 on Saturday (24th June), at the Williams Green Stage.
The band has played at gigs across the UK and Europe but this is the first time it has been invited to play at the world famous music festival, which is expected to host around 175,000 people this year.
The tribute band will play some of Depeche Mode’s most renowned songs including: Personal Jesus and Enjoy the Silence. Speak and Spell will play in the William’s Green tent, situated halfway between the most famous Pyramid Stage and the Acoustic Stage.
The band quoted: “Appearing at such a famous festival is an honour and a privilege. “We’ve played loads of shows, all of which we have loved, but this will be an entirely different experience. We can’t wait to give the performance of our lives and ensure everyone has a wonderful time.”
The band have worked hard to prepare the best show possible and will be accompanied by Ian Ferguson (Crew/Stage Manager) & Claire Whatley (Manager/Tour Manager).
Speak & Spell have several other dates this year including The Flowerpot in Derby on the 17th June and two Music for the Masses anniversary shows at Sound Control in Manchester on the 9th September and the O2 Islington on the 23rd September.
