Well it would seem our Black Celebration album show was a resounding success, played to a rammed out O2 Academy main hall. And yes we mean rammed out.
We were very nervous about this for some months, particularly with recent changes but if social media is anything to go by the show was VERY well received.
We played the album in full and as you might expect as near perfect as you would reasonably want us to be. After a short break we returned to the stage to do an hour long hits set from ‘World in my Eyes’ through to ‘Never Let me Down Again’, with a cheeky rendition of ‘Ice Machine’ for good measure.
We welcome our new members with open arms as they both exceeded all expectations and helped us deliver that show. Thank you Tony and Paul.
If you would like to discuss Speak and Spell performing at your venue, Depeche Mode Party or event, all technical rider information is on this web site plus how to book us flight and transport details. To discuss dates and more speak to our Claire Whatley (manager)
We would also like to thank Carl at Islington, Glen Wisbey for Stage Management, Kevin May for his photography and, well just being his lovely self, Monika for support and Andy Goss for filming.
Special thank you to Keith Search for taking on and completely managing logistics.
See you next time
